Future Shorts One returns on the 23rd July to the Deus Courtyard with a fresh program of short films from across the globe, showcasing the hottest talent at events in 18 countries, included in those exotic locations is our very own Deus Temple of Enthusiasm here in Canggu.
July's official selection, programmed by Future Shorts in London and screened in over 50 locations worldwide throughout the month, brings a taste of summer to the screen. We're having Ice Cream with experimental rockers Battles, dancing in the streets with Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson in Sam-Taylor Wood's video for REM's Uberlin, and spending a day at the zoo with The Boy Who Wanted To Be A Lion. Other films included in July's exciting selection include How To Pick Berries, La Patrona, Passing Hearts and Chienne D'Historie.
In addition to regular monthly events, July sees special FS ONE screenings at festivals in Poland (Open'r Festival), Romania (B'estfest) and the Isle of Man (the Garden Party Festival). Future Shorts are looking to give people everywhere the chance to see the best films from around the world, wherever they are. At live events, on the FS YouTube Channel and on Facebook & Twitter, Future Shorts are aiming to change the way we engage with film and find a new audience for the most exciting filmmakers out there.
